We recently visited Crownhill Conservatories and interviewed owner Steve Barnett to find out how the business is coming along after four years of using the services of the Web Design and SEO Company (WDSEO), and I’m sure you’ll agree the results have been pretty phenomenal.
Crownhill Conservatories History
Steve Barnett and Steve Claffey co-own Crownhill Conservatories and bought the business at Plymouth Garden Centre just over four years ago. They have both been in the conservatory business for over 40 years and jumped at the chance to own a business themselves when the opportunity arose. As new business owners, they quickly realised that to grow their business and make it a success they would need to have a fully functional website that customers could find, use and understand easily.
Steve explained: “We approached Diana on a recommendation, and I must say the journey with WDSEO has been very plain sailing. Ranking Highly on Google
Week by week the company gets on average four to five leads via the website enquiry form which go to Steve. He explained that they are always good quality leads and in addition to that they often get people arriving at the show site after taking a look at their services on offer through the website. A good reason for this could be because they rank highly on google. They currently have a 75% conversion rate, which is fantastic!
Steve added: “Diana understood our business fully, getting to know the products that we sell and helped us to make improvements along the way. We have a fantastic relationship and always get regular updates. She explains to us what would help to increase our presence and always advises us on the best way to attract customers. It has been a very good working relationship.”

Crownhill Conservatories had tried to build their own website but it wasn’t a great success. They wanted to go for a more professional approach so asked around and Diana’s name popped up.
Steve said: “We had proposals from 2 web design companies but after meeting Diana both Steve Claffey and myself decided on the day she came to meet us that she was the person for us. It’s been very very good and very good for our business. On a scale of one to five, I undoubtedly rate the experience and the journey with WDSEO five stars.”
